Denise Marcil is the president of Denise Marcil Literary Agency, Inc. Ms. Marcil represents a wide variety of commercial fiction and non-fiction—from suspense, thrillers, and contemporary women’s fiction to management books—many of which have appeared on national bestseller lists including The New York Times, USA Today, The Washington Post, and The Los Angeles Times.

She was named one of Glamour magazine's Top Ten Outstanding Young Working Women. Ms. Marcil has been interviewed in many publications, including The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, the New Yorker, Business Week, Working Woman, and More magazine. She was the featured story in a nationally televised PBS program, "Working Women."

For many years, Ms. Marcil served on the board of directors of the Association of Authors’ Representatives (AAR) and its predecessor, the Independent Literary Agents Association. She was Literary Vice President for the AAR. She is chair of the AAR’s Royalty Committee on which she’s served since its inception in 1991. She has also served on the Board of Directors of the Communication Arts Institute, the parent organization for The Writer’s Colony at Dairy Hollow. Currently, she serves on its Literary Advisory Board.

Her interest and business acumen in nonfiction focuses on self-help and popular reference books such as health, women’s issues, business, and parenting. Her love of fiction is represented in suspense and crime novels and popular women’s fiction.
 





Anne Marie O’Farrell has worked with the Denise Marcil Literary Agency, Inc. since 1986.  She specializes in the areas of human potential and psychology, personal growth, fitness, business and healing.  She represents the world renowned bestselling Seth books including Seth Speaks and The Nature of Personal Reality by Jane Roberts, which many attribute as the works that launched current new age thought.  These books have sold over eight million copies and been translated into over twelve foreign languages.  Additional representative titles include The Ten Minute Body Breakthrough by Sean Foy (Workman Publishing); Breaking Into The Boy’s Club by Molly Shepard, Jane Stimmler, Peter Dean, Ph.D. (M. Evans & Co.);  Hell Yes – Two Little Words for a Simpler, Happier Life by Elizabeth Baskin (Andrews McMeel); Think Confident, Be Confident by Drs. Ms. O’Farrell is also the founder of New York Dinner Theater, a New York based theatrical production company.
